The restrained 17-year-old James (Alex Lawr) thinks he is a psychopath, has already killed animals as a child and wants to finally kill a man. Alyssa (Jessica Barden), on or hand, roars her rage out loud. Her exclusion welds two teenagers toger. When Alyssa has enough of her mor and her bescheuertem husband, she wants to leave. James comes along with him, because his far is also bugging him and he sees Alyssa as a perfect first victim. With a stolen car, two go on a journey, during which a dead pedophile Existenzialist, a lesbian investigator H and a drug dealer will play a role.
The end of f * * * ing world is developing into an exceptional road to which Blur lead guitarist Graham Coxon delivers right soundtrack. The series, based on eponymous comic series by Charles S. Forsman, is wicked and funny, gloomy and affectionate, very well written and rapidly staged.
Lawr and Barden go through as a modern edition of Bonny and Clyde and are perhaps craziest teenage couple on way since Wes Anderson's Moonrise kingdom. "In a world that is crazy, maniac is not mad at all," it is said at end of first season. "He is wise." (Jens Balkenende)
