The Hamburg Child Protection Association has warned judiciary against requests from extreme right to become guardian of minor refugees. This was confirmed by a spokesman of social authority. At same time, he pointed out that, due to decline in number of refugees, only a few guardians were presently needed.

According to Hamburg Child Protection Confederation, honorary guardians represent under-age refugees legally and accompany m in everyday life until y reach age of majority. These include, among or things, choice of school and training, medical care, reorganisation of living conditions and maintenance of relationship with family of origin.

Activists of right-wing extremist Identitarian movement had called to become a refugee guardian in order to "talk about existing false expectations of ir host country." A spokesman for group observed by constitutional protection confirmed a corresponding internet contribution.

According to this, activists from Hamburg offshoot have already been advised and are planning trainings on subject. First, online portal had reported vice. The Vice, however, shared with competent Hamburg authority that chances of right-wing extremists to a guardianship were only minor: "We check every applicant".
