A Hempfield man is charged with killing his girlfriend at their Waycross Drive home on Sunday, according to state police.
Allen Eugene Trent, 53, is accused of shooting Frances Smith as she lay in bed.
Trent was being arraigned Monday afternoon at the office of District Judge Mark Mansour.
