“A Sculpture Exhibition,” a display of work by 49 Northern California sculptors, including six Sonoma County artists, opens April 5 and runs through April 30 at Marin Society of Artists Gallery in San Rafael.

Timed to coincide with International Sculpture Day on April 24, the exhibit features 72 sculptures, including work by M. C. Carolyn of Healdsburg, who won first place in the show; Brent Gudzus of Windsor, Andre Maillard of Sonoma, David Stohl of Sebastopol and Susan Hersey and her husband Robert, from Petaluma.

Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday (except April 16).

A celebration party will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. April 14 during the 2nd Friday Art Walk in San Rafael.
