DELPHI, Indiana — Police are hoping to identify a man seen in a photograph who is considered a suspect in the death of two teen girls, whose bodies were found last week near a hiking trail.
While investigators initially thought the man might have witnessed something, they now believe he participated in the murders of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, ABC News reports.
The suspect can be seen in the photo wearing blue jeans, a blue coat/jacket, and a hoodie.
The photo of the man, from a larger image, was taken on Feb. 13, the same day the girls had been dropped off in the afternoon at the Delphi Historic Trails. They were reported missing when they did not show up when relatives arrived to pick them up.
The girls’ bodies were found just after noon last Tuesday in a wooded area near a bridge over a creek on the trail, the Indianapolis Star reports.
While police tell the Star they have been working non-stop on the case, they have released little information.
Anyone with information about this case or the suspect is asked to call 844-459-5786.
