Hempfield public works crews closed Long Street to stabilize a possible slide, officials said.
The one-way street, located just outside South Greensburg, was closed between Bamboo Court and Route 819/Armbrust Road Friday, said township manager Andrew Walz.
Residents of about seven homes along the street are able to access their properties from Bamboo Court.
