A man found dead in a McKees Rocks home during a welfare check Thursday was ruled a homicide Friday, officials said.
Ronald Peless, 51, was found dead shortly before 11:30 a.m. Thursday at a home on Vine Street, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police initially responded to the home after a request for a welfare check, county police said.
The medical examiner ruled the cause of death homicide late Friday afternoon, police said. Peless died from stab wounds to the head, neck, body and extremities.
County police are continuing to investigate.
