FLEMINGTON – The Flemington-Raritan School District PTOs will hold a 5K Color Fun Run/Walk at J.P. Case Middle School, 301 Case Boulevard, on April 23.

Proceeds will benefit the Parent-Teacher Organizations for the district’s six schools – Barley Sheaf, Copper Hill, Desmares, Robert Hunter, Reading-Fleming Intermediate School and J.P. Case Middle School.

“We are thrilled to host the second annual Color Run in the district and welcome all families, staff and administration of FRSD and all community members to join us for the 5K Color Fun Run/Walk” said Jennifer Hill, president of the J.P. Case Middle School PTO. “With nearly 1,000 runners last year, our goal for this year’s Color Run is to have 2,000 people register to join us for this exciting event.

“It will be a fun and memorable day for all.”

Race day registration begins at 8 a.m., with a pre-race stretch taking place at 9 a.m. Runners and walkers are asked to assemble by 9:25 a.m. for the 9:30 a.m. start. There will be a color dance party at the finish line. It will be held rain or shine.

The cost to participate is $20 per person; $25 after March 12. The registration fee includes a race T-shirt and bandana, if registered by March 27. Registration is now open through the J.P. Case PTO website. http://www.frsd.k12.nj.us/Page/9779

Registration packet pick-up will be available at J.P. Case Middle School from 5-8 p.m. on April 19 and 20.

On race, day, no pets are allowed, carpooling is suggested, as is wearing old sneakers.
