ANKARA, TURKEY—A Turkish media report says an explosion has hit a town in southeastern Turkey, injuring a number of people.

The private Dogan news agency says the explosion on Friday occurred near the lodgings of judges and prosecutors in the town of Viransehir, in Sanliurfa province, which borders Syria.

It says medics and police have been dispatched to the area.

No further details were immediately available.
