CLEVELAND, Ohio – Five beer events are coming up in Northeast Ohio, from Saturday’s Stout It Out Loud in Cleveland to Brew at the Zoo in Akron and more. Here’s a quick guide:
Stout It Out Loud
If you like oysters and stouts – a food-and-drink pairing that works pretty well together – check this one out at Butcher & the Brewer. It’s noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.
Stouts from more than two dozen Ohio breweries will be available.
Tickets: $45, includes 20 drink tickets, 4-ounce souvenir glass and half a dozen oysters.
The brewery is at 2043 E. 4th St., Cleveland.
Local Brews Local Grooves
Four stages with a dozen acts will perform at the fest, which features mostly Ohio breweries.
It’s 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at House of Blues, 308 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.
Tickets: You can pay for a general-admission package at $35, which includes sampling tickets, or no package for $12 and buy sampling tickets as you go.
Winter Warmer
The 11th annual event, a fundraiser for the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, is 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
The event packs a crowd throughout several rooms at Windows on the River, 2000 Sycamore St., Cleveland.
Fifty Ohio breweries will be part of the fest, which has an indoor-outdoor layout. Food trucks will be available.

* Advance: $45, includes souvenir glass and tasting tickets for 40 2-ounce samples. * Early admission: $55, allows for 1 p.m. entry.
* Designated Driver: $15, includes a cupcake from Sweet! Mobile Cupcakery and 1 p.m. admission.
Art & Ale
It’s a cool setting, to sip craft beer and saunter through an art museum’s atrium.
It’s 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 10. Craft beer and cider will be available, and beers will be blind-judged.
Tickets: $50 ($35 for museum members, $25 for designated drivers).
The museum is at 1 S. High St., Akron.
Brew at the Zoo
Akron Zoo is back with its annual themed brew nights; all are 6:30-10:30 p.m. Saturdays:
* June 17: ’80s Night.
* July 15: Christmas in July.
* Oct. 7: Halloween Bash.
Tickets: $33 ($27 for zoo members, $16 for zoo-member designated drivers, $22 for non-member designated drivers).
Admission includes 4-ounce souvenir glass, eight sample tastings, admission to the zoo after hours and a giveaway.
This year, $50 VIP tickets – $40 for designated drivers – includes early entrance at 6 p.m., access to a private area, appetizers, reserved seating, three additional tastings, full-size beer ticket, souvenir cup and more.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, May 17.
