CORVALLIS – Oregon State fell for the 14th consecutive game Thursday, losing 60-52 to Colorado at Gill Coliseum to remain in search of its first Pac-12 win with four regular-season games to play.

Key run: OSU led Colorado 25-24 at halftime, as the Buffaloes were held without a field goal for the final 4:19 of the first half. But CU guard George King, who had been held scoreless in the first half, had his team’s first five points of the second half. He helped spark an 11-0 run that put the Beavers behind 36-27 with 14 minutes to play.

After Oregon State battled back to get the game within three points, Colorado rattled off an 8-0 run in 69 seconds to take a 46-35 lead with 7:09 remaining.

Yet the Beavers responded, with big men Drew Eubanks and Gligorije Rakocevic combining for all nine points of a 9-0 run that was capped off with a Rakocevic three-pointer from the top of the key.

It was over when: After Oregon State tied the game 52-52, Colorado retook the lead on a Xavier Johnson free throw. The Beavers followed up with a turnover and Derrick White then found a lane to the basket for a layup to make it 55-52.

When Rakocevic could not covert a layup at the other end, Johnson drilled a right corner three-pointer to make it 58-52 with 31.9 seconds remaining. After OSU took a timeout, Stephen Thompson Jr. turned over the ball on a drive to the rim and White made both free throws at the other end.

Key stats: Colorado turned 18 Oregon State turnovers into 23 points.

Top performances: JaQuori McLaughlin led Oregon State with 16 points, followed by Eubanks (14 points) and Rakocevic (10 points).

White paced all Colorado scorers with 20 points and four assists. Johnson added 17.

Next up: Oregon State (4-23, 0-14) will host Utah (17-9, 8-6) at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
