SCHENECTADY — Five people were arrested and 11 stolen guns were recovered during two raids Tuesday by Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Schenectady Police Departments SWAT team.

Law enforcement agencies found a .308 caliber rifle that was stolen from a Columbia County home, while searching a home at 36 Kelton Ave.

Ellis R. Riker, 55, of 36 Kelton Ave., was charged for criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, according to Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office.

At a second raid at 938 Park Ave., 10 weapons were taken and three were arrested. Albert George, 41, of 938 Park Ave., was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, authorities said, while Christopher Smith, 40, of 35 Kelton Ave., and Jerome Gilmore, 50, of 757 Eastern Ave., were both held on parole violations. A fourth person, Dylan Longe, 29, of 150 Spring Road, was arrested before the raid, the sheriff’s office said. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
