A woman who was fatally stabbed, possibly by an acquaintance, while walking in the parking lot of a far West Side Walmart has been identified.

Latosha Rich, 30, was pronounced dead at approximately 5:52 p.m. from a single stab wound to her chest, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

San Antonio Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jesse Salame said Sunday that officers found her lying on the ground when they arrived at the store in the 11200 block of Potranco Road.

Witnesses told police that Rich and another woman started arguing in the parking lot. Investigators believe Rich knew the woman she was fighting with, and that they went to the Walmart together, Salame said.
