HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio

Theft, Wilson Mills Road:

A Kohl’s employee reported Feb. 8 a woman stole $385 worth of clothing, jewelry and perfume and left in a vehicle before she could be stopped. She was later identified as a 22-year-old Cleveland woman and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Feb. 14, she returned to the store and was caught trying to steal $506 worth of perfume and jewelry. The items she had previously stolen were also recovered. She was charged with two counts of theft and possession criminal tools.

Phone calls, Blakley Drive:

A woman, 81, said Feb. 13 she got an automated call asking if she was a drug abuser. She gave no information and hung up the phone.

Impaired driving, Lander Road:

A Willoughby Hills man, 57, was arrested for OVI after he was pulled over for speeding around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

Disturbance, Highland Road:

Officers responded to Mulligan’s Tavern at 2:43 a.m. Feb. 12 for a report of 15 people fighting in the parking lot. A Cleveland Heights man, 28, said he was punched by an unknown man. The incident is under investigation.

Theft, Wilson Mills Road:

A Denny’s employee reported at 11:14 p.m. Feb. 11 there were three females and one male who left without paying a $91 bill. Officers were unable to locate the suspect’s vehicle and were unable to identify them at the time of the incident, which is under investigation.

General assistance, Lander Road:

A resident said Feb. 8 he suspects his soon-to-be ex-wife attempted to break into his home because he found pry marks on a door and items moved in his yard. Officers spoke to the woman, who denied any involvement. There was no entry made to the home and nothing stolen from the property.
