Originally from Peru, the Lutz residents have been artists for more than 20 years and have a dedicated following and clientele.
For four years, Curich and Denegri owned an art gallery in the Village Center, but always thought about adding wine and tapas to go along with the art.
They recently opened D’Arte Gallery Wine & Tapas Bar.
"It’s a completely different concept here," Curich said.
The unique space serves as an art gallery during the day and a restaurant and wine bar in the evening. Curich’s and Denegri’s paintings adorn the walls, providing a beautiful backdrop for diners.
The menu is almost entirely organic, and includes Peruvian, Italian and Spanish inspired tapas and cerviche.
Signature tapas include chicken quinoa and mushrooms al ajillo, and there are beef, chicken, and spinach empanadas. Also on the menu are chorizo, serrano, and prosciutto crostinis. In addition to traditional seating, there is a bar area that serves wine and beer.
Painting parties are held Thursday evenings, giving people an opportunity to create their own masterpiece. The space can also be reserved for private parties and special events.
D’Arte Gallery Wine & Tapas Bar is located at 3861 Northdale Blvd. For more information, call (813) 513-5457, or visit facebook/dartegallery.
