BAY VILLAGE, Ohio – Fraud, Walmar Road: On Feb. 8 a resident reported identity theft. In March 2015, someone opened a Verizon Wireless account, using his information, incurring an unpaid balance of nearly $1,000. The resident advised Verizon Wireless and purchased credit monitoring. On Feb. 8, he was contacted by a collection agency regarding the unpaid Verizon account from 2015. He again called Verizon Wireless and was told before any action could be taken to eliminate the problem, he would need to make a report with the police department.

Suspension, Lake Road: An officer stopped a car for an equipment violation Feb. 9. The driver was under suspension. He also had warrants from two other police departments. The 20-year-old Euclid resident also had a Kentucky driver’s license.

Drunken driving, Interstate 90: An impaired driver was reported Feb. 11 existing the interstate. The driver was stopped at Russell Road. After testing, the 38-year-old driver from Lorain was arrested. A 26- year-old passenger, also from Lorain, was not arrested, but was taken back the station to arrange for transportation home.
