Marcus Mariota’s rehab from a broken fibula in his right leg is going well, but the Titans quarterback won’t be rushed back on the field anytime soon according to Tennessee head coach Mike Mularkey.

During a radio interview with The Midday 180 in Nashville Wednesday, Mularkey said the Titans will be “overly cautious” in bringing back their franchise QB and that Mariota will likely be held out of team workouts until training camp in July. Mularkey also said Mariota remains on schedule with his rehab.

“I saw some video of him in a pool, one of the treadmills that are now designed to keep the weight off but you can still walk,” Mularkey said (via ESPN). “That was good to see, him walking on that treadmill. He’s right on schedule.”

Mariota suffered the season-ending leg injury in the Titans’ Dec. 24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tennessee finished 9-7 in Mariota’s second season behind center. The former Oregon Ducks Heisman winner finished his sophomore season throwing for 3,426 yards, with 26 touchdown passes to nine interceptions and a 95.6 passer rating in 2016.
