"Divorce" star Sarah Jessica Parker has been tapped as honorary chairwoman of the American Library Association’s new Book Club Central, the Chicago-based association announced Wednesday.
Parker is slated to provide a selection of recommended titles for Book Club Central, an online platform for book club content, throughout the year. She is set to unveil her inaugural pick at the platform’s official launch June 24 at McCormick Place West during the association’s annual conference.

Parker, who describes herself as a "lifelong book lover," recently launched her own literary imprint, SJP for Hogarth, to "publish high-quality works of fiction."
