CLEVELAND, Ohio — Yes, this swanky institution brings out the legal eagles, the business set, the expense accounts. But Morton’s the Steakhouse “Power Hour” is empowering to all, especially the deal-mongers among us.

I must say, that Mini Crab Cake BLTs made me feel like a hundred bucks – yes, because it was succulent, but also because it only set me back $8. It one of seven offerings on the discounted Bar Bites menu, which makes Mortons a fine stop before or after a Cavs game (since it also does a late-session Happy Hour).

The petite filet-mignon sandwiches are especially tasty, sure to bring a smile to the face of paupers and players alike. Allow me to raise a glass to the Tuna Tacos ($8), not to mention what’s in the glass… a Power Hour Vodka Mortini ($8.50).

It’s one of many discounted classic elixirs on a stellar drink list. In between sips, we can talk about careers and cash and feast on Oysters on the Half Shell ($3). Or we can nibble on these Parmesan Truffle Matchstick Fries ($7) and marvel at how finely cut there and how we made out on this deal. OK, OK, keep talking, I’ll do the nibbling…
