A 34-year-old man who was shot to death was found about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Monroe County home, authorities report.
Pennsylvania State Police identified the victim as Lawrence E. Purcell Jr., of Polk Township.
Police did not say anyone was in custody.
The home is owned by Diane Hamilton, of Polk Township, property records show. The tan, ranch-style home sits on nearly one and a half acres, property records show.
The homicide investigation is continuing, police said.
