A student brought a loaded gun to Carver Vocational Technical High School on Tuesday, though school police were able to quickly confiscate it, a city schools spokeswoman said.

No one was injured. Two students had gotten into a fight at the West Baltimore school, and school police determined that one of them had a gun, schools spokeswoman Edie House-Foster said.

The school police officer took the gun away from the student and brought the fight under control, House-Foster said.

A student who brings a weapon to school faces possible expulsion, she said.
