A shopper was stunned to discover an enormous slug hiding in her bag of Aldi spinach.
Samantha Farrell, from Birmingham, bought the bag of unwashed leaves at her local Sheldon branch of the budget supermarket.
But when she got home she spotted the huge creepy-crawly and posted a video of her gruesome find on Aldi’s Facebook page.
Samantha captioned the clip: “Aldi what is in my spinach? I don’t have the receipt but I will be taking it back to the Sheldon branch.”
She explained how she first thought it looked like “a lump of poo or dirt” before realizing it was a slimy garden critter.
Samantha added she will be returning the bag to the store unopened and is waiting for Aldi customer services to call her.

A mum was also left gagging after tearing open a carton of Aldi tomato juice to discover what looked like a “fetus” inside.
Speaking in response to Samantha’s find, a spokesperson for Aldi said: “We are sorry to hear of Ms. Farrell’s experience.
“The packaging states that the unwashed leaves should always be washed before eating as this type of incident, whilst rare, can occur on fresh produce.
“We’ve encouraged her to return this to her nearest store so that we can look into it.”
Last month a shocked carer found a “metal fish hook” in his Aldi fish supper as he ate his dinner.
