COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University is holding its first-ever day of giving: Buckeye Love, which begins at 8 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, and lasts 36 hours.
The campaign seeks support from alumni, students and other supporters, who can provide funds to any area of the university.
Buckeye Leaders donate at least $1,000 to support a challenge pool. The funds will be distributed to colleges, schools, units or student organizations as rewards for winning various challenges throughout the 36-hour campaign.
A number of challenges and matching funds are posted on the website, buckeyelove.osu.edu.
The day of giving, which ends at 8 p.m. Wednesday, is part of a month-long campaign for #BuckeyeLove. The #BuckeyeLove campaign is an effort to pay forward through good deeds.
This is the first year for the day of giving, but the goal is for it to become an annual tradition.
