CLEVELAND, Ohio – A man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in the city’s Glenville neighborhood, police said.

The victim, who was in his 20s, was shot in the chest, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said. He was found about 4 p.m. in the driveway of a house on the 10800 block of Olivet Avenue, several blocks north of Superior Avenue.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics on scene, and homicide detectives are at the house investigating, Ciaccia said. Authorities had cleared the scene by 6:15 p.m.

The victim will be publicly identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner once his family is notified.

The Monday killing is the 14th homicide in Cleveland in 2017, according to a cleveland.com unofficial tally.
