Easton police found evidence of gunfire overnight in the city’s west ward.

Police responded to calls just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Spruce Street.

Police Lt. Matthew Gerould said evidence was seized from the area that gunfire did occur. However, there was no property damage.

There also were no reported injuries in the incident. Easton police plan to release more information Sunday afternoon.

“An investigation is underway,” Gerould said.
