CLIFTON — A 34-year-old woman was seriously injured Saturday after her vehicle crashed into a utility pole, state police said.
Two young children in the vehicle were unhurt, State Police Lt. Lawrence Peele said. The woman’s name had not been released as of 10 a.m. Sunday.
State police did not disclose the relationship between the driver, who lives in Clifton, and the children.
Peele said the driver was attempting to exit the Garden State Parkway in Clifton, at Exit 153B, when her Ford Taurus veered off the left side of the ramp and struck the pole.
She was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson.
Peele said the crash, which occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, remains under investigation.
