Four people were wounded early Sunday morning in separate shootings across the city.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the chest about 3:30 a.m. in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.
The victim was standing on the sidewalk in the 7100 block of South Cyril Avenue when he was shot by a man in a ski mask. Police said he was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in stable condition.
No one in custody, and police are investigating.
About the same time, a 40-year-old man was shot in the right leg three miles away in the 500 block of East 80th Street in Chatham.
Officers arrived on scene and found the wounded victim lying in the street. He was taken to Christ Hospital in good condition.
A 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the head about 2:50 a.m. near the 400 block of West Evergreen Avenue in Old Town.
Police said the victim was in a residence with his girlfriend when her ex-boyfriend came in and fought with him. The man shot the 24-year-old and fled the scene. He was taken to Northwestern University Hospital in stable condition.

Earlier, a 16-year-old boy was shot about near the 1500 block of Massasoit Avenue in the North Austin neighborhood.
Police said the teen was walking northbound on Massasoit Avenue about 12:45 a.m. when a person emerged from a nearby alley and shot at him. He was wounded in the right arm and taken to Mt. Sinai in stable condition.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
