Alexander Wang’s standing-room-only-no-after-party show was exactly that, but it’ll still be a highlight of New York Fashion Week.
On Saturday night, well-heeled editors made their way up to an undisclosed venue on 146th street and Broadway. Greeted by trays of Peroni and a garbage-bag encased entryway, an elevated runway beckoned while beats from Outkast blared throughout a cavernous, empty old theater.
VIPs like Teyana Taylor, Sofie Richie and Ansel Elgort looked on while Bella Hadid (making her NYFW debut this week in black leather hot pants), Kendall Jenner (rocking her newly shorn locks that she debuted on Thursday night at La Perla) and Wang catwalk favorite Hanne Gaby Odiele (who recently revealed she is intersex) stormed the runway clad in oversized blazers, statement shirts and — our favorite — tights blazoned with the words “No After Party.” Which, of course, left his #wanggang wanting more.
