VOORHEES TWP. — On any given day, smooching and other public displays of affection may get you a disapproving look or at least a few stares.

But the Voorhees Town Center is inviting couples to kiss all they want in the middle of the mall and downtown development at an event Saturday they’re calling PDA at VCT.

Voorhees Town Center is aiming to create South Jersey’s “largest PDA group photo” in front of its five love-themed murals Saturday afternoon after its wedding expo wraps up.

The 104 feet of murals were created by Burlington graffiti artist Zack Montone and Stephen Jones, of Back Door Designs in Mount Laurel. They will also be on hand for a meet and greet at the “Wall of Love” Saturday.

“The wall was initially created for the month of February,” spokeswoman Lisa Milideo said. “Due to its already positive community response it will remain indefinitely.”

Milideo said the first 100 couples at the event will receive LED roses that they will light at exactly 6:30 p.m. That’s when the kisses will be exchanged and a photographer will capture the image.

The wall has inspired many photo shoots and selfies already, Milideo said, and makes a good background for engagement or wedding photos.

Those who post their own photos with #PDAatVTC on social media during the month of February get entered into a drawing for gift cards to seven restaurants at Voorhees Town Center, she said.

The wedding expo will be held in the mall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
