UNION TWP. – Firefighters responding to a report of a fire on the third floor of the Foster Wheeler office complex on Frontage Road on Thursday found a faulty light fixture was the source of the smell of smoke, according to those at the scene.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 9:13 p.m. after a caller reported seeing flames on the third floor of the building. No flames were visible when firefighters arrived, but there was an odor.

First-responders, who used thermal imaging cameras to locate the source of the smoke, cleared the scene by 10:30 p.m., it was reported.

Responding were the State Police from the Perryville station, Pattenburg Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department, Annandale Hose Company, Quakertown Fire Department, High Bridge Fire Department, Bloomsbury Fire Department, Califon Fire Department’s FAST team, Clinton Rescue Squad and Pattenburg rescue Squad.
