BRUNSWICK — Brunswick High School and Medina County Career Center Senior Jordyn Pitcher, of Brunswick, has been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis January Student of the Month for the Medina County Career Center by a panel of her peers.

Jordyn Pitcher is ranked 60 out of her class 623. She is the president of her Chef and Restaurant Management class and was secretary her junior year. She also serves as secretary of the MCCC Key Club.

Through her class and Key Club, Pitcher has logged nearly 800 volunteer hours serving her community throughout her high school career. She is an active member of the Art Club, GSA, Student Council, and Presidents Council. At Brunswick High School Pitcher received the Summa Cum Laude Award, the Scholarship Award, and the Character Award. She was a Queen First Attendant at Brunswick, and is a Medina County Spring Leadership Ball honoree.

Outside Brunswick High School and the Medina County Career Center, Pitcher has taken College Credit Plus classes in English Composition, Political Science and Environmental Sustainability through Lorain County Community College.

The daughter of Michelle Pitcher, Jordyn plans to attend Bowling Green State University to obtain a degree in nutrition sciences, with a minor in biology and chemistry.
