ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Overdose: Officers responded to a residence Jan. 31 after the resident reported a heroin overdose. Officers administered Naloxone and the victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Theft, Center Ridge Road: On Jan. 31 Giant Eagle employees reported a person suspected in the theft of approximately $550 in beer several days earlier had returned to the store. The man left the store when confronted by employees, prior to police arrival. He is suspected in thefts at other Giant Eagle stores in the area. An investigation is ongoing. 

Warrant, Hilliard Boulevard: On Feb. 1 a woman came to the police station to post bond for a family member who had recently been arrested for a traffic warrant. However, the woman was wanted by another agency in the county for a criminal warrant. She was arrested.

Drugs, Interstate 90: A possible impaired driver was reported Feb. 1. The driver was stopped and arrested. He was suspected of using an opiate. 

Overdose, Westmoor Avenue: A car backed into a phone pole Feb. 3. The driver appeared to have overdosed on an opiate. Officers administered Naloxone. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was cited. 

Assault, Hilliard Boulevard: On Feb. 6 while releasing a man arrested earlier for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, the man became argumentative and would not leave the police department. He eventually charged at an officer, grabbing him by the arm and waist. The intoxicated man was arrested for assault.
