Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Southeast Portland.

One person has been taken to a hospital, police said in a news release. No officers were hurt in the Thursday night shooting.

Police said there doesn’t appear to be any risk to the public. The shooting happened at 22nd Avenue and Lafayette Street.

The shooting is the second involving a Portland police officer on Thursday. An officer shot and killed a man suspected of robbing a Northeast Portland motel Thursday morning. 

Traffic is affected. This report will be updated.
