Westmoreland County authorities are advising motorists to avoid a section of Route 22 in Salem Township.
Part of the highway was closed Thursday at Manor Road because of a downed utility pole near Hollywood Boulevard.
Murrysville police said the eastbound lanes will remain closed while crews repair the line.
Motorists will detour onto Manor Road and drive into Delmont. They then can take Route 66 and re-enter Route 22.
