Despite the unwavering support of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, it appears that their endorsement of Donald Trump and his administration is not absolute for the rest of the New England Patriots.

Several members appear ready to join Martellus Bennett and Devin McCourty in skipping the team’s upcoming trip to the Oval Office.

McCourty told Time magazine that he didn’t “feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices, I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”

Linebacker Dont’a Hightower said Wednesday he won’t be making the trip with the rest of his team. It will mark the second time that Hightower has avoided a trip to see the president as he skipped out on a visit to Barack Obama in 2014. He did visit the White House with his national championship team from Alabama during his college career.

"Been there, done that," Dont'a Hightower said, also noting he didn't go to White House in 2014 w/ Pats. Had previously been with Alabama.

Super Bowl hero James White, who scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime and snagged a Super Bowl record 14 catches in the Patriots’ victory over Atlanta, told Sporting News that he hasn’t made up his mind if he will attend.

“I’ll wait ’til the time comes and decide then,” White said.

It won’t be a surprise when other athletes from championship teams make similar public pronouncements shortly before their trips, throughout the duration of Trump’s administration.
