CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio has its share of standout burger spots, from B Spot to Flipside. But only one was good enough to make Business Insider’s 50 Best Burger Joints in America.

Swensons.

Akron’s old-fashioned drive-in ranked No. 21 on the list, which was compiled using check-in data and reviews from the social media app Foursquare.

Founded in 1934, Swensons is best known as the home of the Galley Boy, a cheeseburger with not one, but two secret sauces and topped with an olive.

The burger has been featured on Food Network’s “Food Feuds” as well as on “The Chew.” LeBron James has extolled its virtues on social media, even treating the cast of his movie “Trainwreck” to some Galley Boys before the premiere in Akron in 2015.

Swensons, with locations in Akron, Seven Hills, Stow, Montrose, Jackson, North Canton and a food truck, is the only burger joint in Ohio on the list. The Hopdoddy Burger in Austin, Texas was ranked No. 1.
