Cops are searching for a man who snatched a purse containing $800 in cash from a woman in Hell’s Kitchen Tuesday night.
The 67-year-old victim told police that as she was walking down West End Avenue near West 59th Street, a man approached her and quickly yanked her purse out of her arms before fleeing north up West End Avenue. She told police her bag contained $800 in cash, her cell phone, two credit cards and one debit card.
After the incident, the woman reported a fraudulent transaction on one of her stolen cards of about $30 from a McDonald’s in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male in his 20’s, about 5’9″ and roughly 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, black pants and gray sneakers.
