Sean Spicer is paying the price for keeping his Venmo account public after heading to Washington.
Users of the cash-sharing app flooded the Press Secretary’s public account with small donations that included snarky subject lines.
“Donation to get ur hairline back smh,” one person wrote, according to screenshots taken by The Hill.
“Change that picture of yourself, dude, youre like 90% percent forehead,” another quipped, referencing his app avatar that prominently features the top of his head.
Some people included relevant requests, donating money to him in the name of gum or Dippin’ Dots. Spicer is a gum-chewing machine who swallows two packs a day and he’s tweeted multiple times about his hatred for the “ice cream of the future.”
But others refused to give Spicer even a penny, instead requesting money from him.
“Let’s all request that Sean Spicer pay us $17.76 for all of his lies. He is AT-seanspicer on Venmo as well,” tweeted @Hoffm, who put in his request for “All the lies.”
Another person requested $50 from Trump’s spokesman for “$$ for anxiety meds because your boss is a lunatic.”
A Twitter user shared a screen grab of his $400,000 request from Spicer for “Melania Trump security per day in NYC.”
“Hey folks don’t forget to request money from @seanspicer on @venmo whatever sound[s] fair,” @JaredZimmerman tweeted.
Spicer’s account, which shows he has 27 friends, was still online Tuesday afternoon, but was no longer private. It is unclear if the account is authentic, but New York Magazine reported that his previous payments were to his real-life siblings Ryan and Shannon.
The Venmo drama comes just days after “Saturday Night Live” mercilessly mocked Spicer, who was portrayed by comedian Melissa McCarthy.
