This tough cookie has turned sweet!
The New Jersey Girl Scout whose brutally honest cookie reviews earned her gangbuster sales is now primed to be the all-time seller in the U.S. — and she served up her latest review to The Post Tuesday.
Charlotte McCourt, 11, said of the newly released S’mores: “It doesn’t remind me of a real S’more, but it’s a good substitute. The cookie’s design is charming and the taste is divine.”
She has already sold 23,535 boxes of cookies — well above the previous record of 21,447 by an Oklahoma girl in 2014 — and she has until Saturday to keep going.
That total doesn’t include all her family orders and her final push over the weekend at booths in New Jersey with her troop.
“I am so happy. I feel like this will help me get into high school and college,” she beamed.
The outspoken 11-year-old gave the S’mores cookie a “savory 7” — admitting that it didn’t make it into her top three, which includes Samoas, Thin Mints and Tagalongs.
“It is one of the Girl Scout’s finest cookies,” she said.
McCourt enjoyed how the two graham cracker cookies paired with the marshmallow and chocolate stuffed in the middle of them.
“It wasn’t too sweet. It was just right,” she said, adding that she couldn’t stop herself from indulging in a couple cookies when she first sampled them.
McCourt’s entrepreneurial prowess made headlines last week after she penned an e-mail to her father’s “rich” longtime pal asking him to buy some cookies — and she included frank feedback about each of the cookies, which she rated on a scale from 1 to 10.
The Toffee-tastic was the only cookie that got a 1. She hilariously described the treat as a “bleak, flavorless gluten-free wasteland.”
McCourt will have to wait a while to find out if she is the all-time record holder, but she is confident she’ll snag the title.
She doesn’t know if the accolade includes any perks, but said she definitely wasn’t interested in a lifetime supply of Girl Scout cookies.
“That would be gross. I would end up weighing 800 pounds,” she said.
