CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police are searching for three armed men who barged into a home in Cleveland’s Kamm’s Corners neighborhood.

The robbery happened about 7:30 p.m. Monday at a home on Warren Road near Westland Avenue, according to a Cleveland police spokesman.

The 36-year-old resident of the home had two men over visiting when they heard a knock on the door, police say.

One of the visitors stood up, opened the door and slipped outside. The resident suspected something was wrong, so he left through another door to call police, Cleveland police Detective Reginald Lanton said.

Three men carrying guns then entered the home, police say.

At some point after the resident made it outside, one of the home invaders chased him, but eventually turned around and returned to the house.

The resident called police, then spotted all three run from his home. They hopped in a dark minivan and drove off, Lanton said.

Police did not say what the trio stole. No one suffered injuries during the incident.

No arrests have been made in connection with the home invasion, but detectives are still investigating, Lanton said.
