Boulder County residents of all ages are being invited to a Feb. 22 visit with area farmers and ranchers to learn about county families’ locally grown vegetables, corn, sugar beats, wheat and livestock.

The “From Our Lands to Your Hands” event is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont.

Boulder County’s Parks and Open Space Department said in a news release that the occasion will offer hands-on opportunities for families to learn how local farmers and ranchers produce food and other products and how those farmers conserve the land for future generations.

Co-hosts of the event include the Natural Resource Conservation Service, the Boulder Valley and Longmont conservation districts, CSU Extension Boulder County and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency.
