A trio of teenagers are responsible for three armed robberies of taxi drivers last month, Allentown police said.

Shaka Brown, 19; Vincent Savage, 18, and his brother, Veangelo Savage, 16, all of Allentown, were each arraigned as adults Monday on robbery and related charges.

Each teen was sent to Lehigh County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.

Allentown police said two cabbies were robbed, one of them twice, last month.

One driver was robbed Jan. 10 of $100 at gunpoint. A second driver was robbed on Jan. 14 of cash, a backpack and CDs valued at $255 and was robbed again on Jan. 20 of cash and a cellphone, with a total value of $152.

The cabbies would be called to a location, the robbers would get into the vehicles and use a handgun to take money and other items, police said. Police later learned it was a BB gun.

One victim picked out Brown from a photo lineup, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Brown was arrested Monday, and Veangelo Savage was there, police said.

In an interview with police where his mother was present, Savage reportedly admitted he was involved in all three robberies.

Brown participated in two robberies, and Vincent Savage was present at one of the robberies with his brother and Brown, police said.

Veangelo Savage said he would rob the drivers with the BB gun, and the group would divide up the items.
