A man hit a Spanish tourist in the face with a heavy metal C-clamp near Times Square Sunday afternoon, police sources said.

The victim and some pals were walking down Seventh Avenue near West 51st Street at around 3 p.m. when the man accosted them, the sources said.

It’s not clear how the incident started, but the assailant swung at the victims with the clamp, similar to those stagehands use to hang lights.

He hit at least one of the victims, a man visiting from Spain, in the face before cops were able to arrest the attacker, the sources said.

The suspect has two previous felonies on his record, according to the sources.

It’s not clear what injuries the victim suffered, but none of the men was transported to a hospital, according to the FDNY.
