A dangerous section of Route 440 in Bayonne has claimed another tractor trailer.
A rig overturned this morning at roughly 6:25 a.m., closing the southbound lanes.
The accident occurred on the curve near Richard Rutkowski Park that is well known for similar accidents.
Traffic heading south on 440 is being diverted at West 63rd Street, said Joe Shine, a freelance photographer who was at the scene after the accident. Drivers can also get off Route 440 at Danforth Avenue.
