DEPTFORD TWP. — First responders were able to carry out an 81-year-old woman stuck in a house fire, according to a report.

The fire occurred Sunday at 3 a.m. on Hayes Avenue in Deptford Township, according to 6ABC.com. When crews arrived they heard that a bedridden woman was in the basement. Police officers and firefighters were able to get the woman out.

Authorities took the woman to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The woman’s son was also at the house and was able to get out of the house without injury, 6ABC.com reports. The fire is under investigation.
