CAPE MAY — Cape May City police are still searching for a Gloucester County man wanted for stealing a motorcycle last month and crashing it in an Atlantic City parking garage.

On Jan. 17, Michael Benko, 23, of Sewell, crashed a stolen motorcycle into a car driven by a 50-year-old Atlantic City man in a parking garage. According to previous reports, Benko drove off on the motorcycle but police found him nearby on Pacific Avenue. Benko saw police and tried to flee on foot but was caught after a short foot chase and taken into custody, police said at the time. 

Benko was charged with receiving stolen property, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and several motor vehicle offense by Atlantic City Police. However, Cape May County police are now searching for Benko again in connection to the stolen motorcycle which was reported to Cape May police on Jan. 12. 

Benko was last seen with facial injuries from the accident and his last known address was in Deptford.
