SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Detectives have arrested a person of interest in connection with a Thursday bank robbery in Shaker Heights.
The man arrested Friday afternoon in Shaker Heights has not been charged in the robbery at Huntington Bank on Chagrin Boulevard, police said.
Detectives are still investigating the incident but released bank surveillance photos on Friday.
Bank employees reported at 12:43 p.m. that a man passed a note to a teller. The note demanded that the teller hand over cash, police said.
The man had been inside the bank for a short time but let other customers pass him in line, police said.
Witnesses did not see the man holding a weapon. The note did not mention a weapon, either, police said.
The man ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives have not provided any information on the investigation that led to the person-of-interest’s arrest.
