Two men were injured in a shooting in South Baltimore Thursday night, city police said.

Officers were called at 10:40 p.m. for a shooting in the 3700 block of 7th Street in Brooklyn, where they found a man who was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to area hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Police said a second victim, a 43-year-old man, walked into MedStar Harbor Hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower right leg.

Several witnesses told police they heard several gunshots and then saw two men running toward an alley at the end of 7th Street.

Citywide shooting detectives are investigating this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2221 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Police on Friday also identified a man killed in a shooting Wednesday in the 4700 Hampnett Avenue Lauraville neighborhood as Donald Symptom, 20, of the 5000 block of Morello Road.

Police have not identified a motive in the killing.

Baltimore Police also said Friday they have charged 27-year-old man in connection to a January shooting.

Jerome Henderson, of the 1400 block of Presstman Street, in charged with attempted murder for the Jan. 25 shooting of a 48-year-old man in the 1500 block of Mountour Court in Sandtown-Winchester. Additional details were unavailable in online court records Friday.
