Police are investigating a fatal crash that shut down Judge Road between Shadowridge Drive and Conway Road in south Orlando.

Officers were called to the single-vehicle crash about 5 a.m. and found the driver unresponsive, Orlando police said.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, Lt. Roger Brennan said.

No other details about the crash, or victim have been released.

Police expect Judge Road to be closed for some time this morning while detectives investigate.

“Drivers should be encouraged to seek alternate routes,” Brennan said.

Judge Road turns into Lee Vista Boulevard east of Shadowridge Drive, and is just north of State Road 528 and Orlando International Airport.
