CLEVELAND, Ohio — DNCE entered the House of Blue stage as a bunch of goofballs. And they kept that vibe going throughout their entire concert on Feb. 2.
The dance-rock band, led by ex-boy-band superstar Joe Jonas, started out battling with light sabers and wearing Star Wars stormtroopers masks. Later, bassist Cole Whittle excitedly threw some women’s underwear into the crowd. At the end of the show, confetti cannons sprinkled bits of paper over the audience.
DNCE had a vibrant performance, lit by hues of green, red and blue to match the tone of each song.
Opener The Skins were more on the gritty side, with rapped lyrics and heavy rock backings.
